Led by a multidisciplinary collective of artists, designers,
environmentalists,ancestral knowers, scientists and musicians,
JAGUARA invites us to reflect o the current vulnerability of the Amazon
rainforest
and the need of taking immediate actions for its conservation.
JAGUARA has visited iconic places and gatherings offering memorable
experiences to inspire environmental empathy
through art, music and technology, generating connection and
action towards conservation and education.
JAGUARA was born. JAGUARA inspires and invites citizens of the world to get actively involved in the protection of the rainforest and to learn about the Ancestral Intelligence A.I. embodied by the ancient cultures that have for millennia lived harmoniously with Mother Nature.

During the pandemic lockdown, we began to develop a VR experience based on the research presented in the book La Maloka Cósmica de los Hombres Jaguar, by Carlos Castaño-Uribe: a journey through the world of ancestral Amazonian rock-art symbols, power plants (ethnobiological and spiritual attributes) and archetypal notions of Amazonian Shamanic thought presented through worlds in multiple dimension, a unique and novel way to experience the depth within this profound cosmovision.

Artists featured in Plaza Jaguara are invited to plant their tree in the adjacent forest El Bosque de los Artistas
Elder wisemen ( Shamans) from the Arhuaca, Kogui, and Tatuyo tribes, from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the Yurupari Amazon, respectively, at ceremonial planting ceremony at the Jaguara Festival for the celebration of the International Day of the Jaguar.
Sharing ancestral permaculture with communities and local farmers to encourage a local, organic and sustainable food production.
Vulnerable communities, displaced from their territories as consequence of the armed conflict in Colombia are invited to reconnect to the land through community farming.
